During a recent week long get away to the beach, I sat watching the waves and it took me back to my childhood.  I grew up near a beach in Southern California where my dad and mom taught us all how to surf, survive an undertow, and roast hotdogs and marshmallows stuck to an unwound coat hanger as the flames of a beach bonfire danced around.  As an adult I still like to be in the waves and I see them differently than I did as a child.   Watching the waves calms my brain, inspires my creativity, and gives me a sense of being in the world.  What does it do for you?
